About the Job and Eligibility Criteria
The SSC MTS 2025 recruitment drive aims to fill 11,908 vacancies across various central government departments and constitutional bodies in different states and union territories. Out of the total, 10,210 posts are for Multi Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff, and 1,698 posts are for Havaldar in the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) and Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN).
Eligibility:
- Nationality: Indian citizen.
- Age Limit:
- MTS & Havaldar (CBN): 18 to 25 years
- Havaldar (CBIC): 18 to 27 years
- Educational Qualification: Passed 10th standard from a recognized board.
Exam Pattern & Selection Process
- For MTS: Computer-Based Test (CBT) comprising four sections (General English, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, and General Awareness). Negative marking of 0.25 marks applies.
- For Havaldar: CBT + Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/Physical Standard Test (PST). The PET involves walking and cycling tasks to assess fitness.
Physical Standards for Havaldar:
- Height: Male: 157.5 cm; Female: 152 cm
- Chest (Male): 76-81 cm
- Weight (Female): Minimum 48 kg
- Cycling & Walking:
- Male: 8 km cycling in 30 min, 1600 m walk in 15 min
- Female: 3 km cycling in 25 min, 1 km walk in 20 min
